Fortra’s Clearswift New Release Update and End of Life Statement

Gateway 6.1 has been released with several significant changes, including:

  • Support for very large files on all platforms (SEG/SIG/SWG/SXG)
  • Updated Exchange Interceptor to allow for Windows Server 2019+ support and Exchange 2019+ support (SXG)
  • Expanded Geoblocking Loocation List (SEG)
  • Support for WEBP image format (SEG/SIG/SWG/SXG)
  • Updated non-delivery timeout configuration (SEG)
  • DKIM (SEG)
    • Renaming of DKIM Signature
    • Exclusion of authentication-results header
  • Customer Defects (SEG/SIG/SWG/SXG)

5.x End of Life Program

Fortra has delayed the End of Life (EOL) of the 5.x products from 30th June 2025 to 31st December 2025 to allow customers to complete their migration of the following products:

  • Clearswift Secure Email Gateway (SEG) V5.x
  • Clearswift Secure ICAP Gateway (SIG) V5.x
  • Clearswift Secure Web Gateway (SWG) V5.x
  • Clearswift Secure Exchange Gateway (SXG) V5.x 

Technical support will continue to be provided for 5.x, but there will no longer be updates for any 5.x product. Customers will continue to receive RedHat updates until 31st December 2025.

We encourage all customers to upgrade to the latest version to ensure uninterrupted support, access to the latest features, and continued product updates.

Support for versions up to and including version 5.4.x are already beyond end-of-life as previously announced.

After 31-December-2025:

  • Support Availability: We will no longer be able to provide technical support or updates for version 5.x.
  • Red Hat Extended Lifecycle Support (ELS): We will no longer be able to provide further Red Hat Extended Lifecycle Support for version 5.x based on RHEL7 beyond this date.
